Current mood: cheerful

'Cause all the cool kids are doin' it...

- Hans would die for Marie-Pierre. He would not die for the Nazi cause.

- He is almost childishly afraid of his father, primarily out of habit and past experience.

- He loves traditional German desserts, especially the holiday treat Lebkuchen

- He dislikes being touched by strangers and casual acquaintances.

- He is developing quite the fondness for Occitan culture, and now wants to visit there someday.

- In the clubs of Berlin as a youth, he wore eyeliner and occasionally dressed in drag.

- He is somewhat handy, and can perform some basic maintenance and repair tasks.

- Hans is an avid chess player, and carries a chessboard that was crafted by his grandfather some fifty years ago. The set is falling apart in places, but he doesn't want to part with it.

- Some French cooking is just too much for him - anything with snails, and of course, the dreaded etouffee.

- Hans had scarlet fever as a child, but suffered no long term effects.

- He loves German classical music, especially opera and baroque. He likes to listen to music while he reads.

- His favorite novel is not German , but rather an American novel called The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

- His favorite board game as a child was Snakes and Ladders.

- His favorite color is a shade of blue that he now calls by the Occitan name Blavinèl
